Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account data: your name, email address, and profile picture from Google when you sign in.
• Resume data: the resume content you create, upload, or paste, including tailored versions and cover letters.
• Payment data: order details (pack, amount, status) from Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI, or banking credentials; those go directly to Razorpay.
• Usage data: anonymous page and click analytics via Google Analytics and PostHog, and product events (for example, that a resume was tailored) tied to a random visitor id. PostHog measures page views and visitor counts only; we do not send it your name, email address, or any resume content.

2. How we use it

We use your data only to provide the service: storing your resumes, generating AI content, processing payments, enforcing usage limits, and improving the product with aggregate analytics. Resume text is sent to our AI providers (currently OpenAI, and in some cases Anthropic) to generate refinements, tailored versions, and cover letters; it is not used to train their models.

3. What we never do

• We never sell your personal data.
• We never share your resume with employers or third parties.
• We never use your resume content to train AI models.
• Generated PDF files are created in your browser and are never stored on our servers.

4. Storage and security

Your data is stored with Supabase (Postgres) protected by row-level security, so each account can only access its own rows. Payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI DSS compliant payment gateway. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions and app state, and Google Analytics and PostHog cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without affecting the service.

6. Chrome extension

The AI Job Maker browser extension is an optional companion to this website. It handles the same resume data described above, and this section explains what is different about it.

• Job posting text: when you click "Grab job description", the extension reads the visible text of the job posting on the tab you are viewing, and sends it to us to tailor your resume and calculate the ATS match score. It only reads a page when you click that button, and only the site you are on at that moment.
• Sign-in: the extension reuses your existing session from this website so you do not have to sign in twice. Your session tokens are stored locally in the browser's extension storage on your own device, and are never sent anywhere except to us to authenticate your requests.
• Your resumes: the extension reads the resumes saved to your account and saves the tailored versions back to it, so they also appear on this website.
• The extension does not collect your browsing history, does not track which sites you visit, and contains no analytics or advertising code. It never reads a page unless you ask it to.
• Broad site access is requested only when needed. Because job postings are hosted on thousands of different sites, the extension asks for permission for one specific site at the moment you first use it there. You can decline and paste the job description manually instead.
• Removing the extension deletes everything it stored on your device. Your account and resumes on this website are unaffected, and can be deleted separately as described below.

7. Your rights

You can view and edit your data in the app at any time, and delete individual resumes from the editor.

You can also delete your whole account from Settings. Doing that signs you out and permanently removes your access to your resumes, tailored versions, and cover letters. If you ever sign in again with the same email, that content is erased and you start with a completely empty account.

After you delete your account we keep a copy of that content for a limited period so we can help with support questions and payment disputes, and we keep your payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. If you want everything erased immediately instead, email us from the contact page and we will action it within 30 days.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date.
